About that Intro to Mac course.

I will admit that I was surprised to learn that the class sold out in fairly short order, but also (obviously) quite pleased. If you missed the class, don't worry, there will likely be another one soon.

After speaking with a few attendees and reading some email, I'm left with the impression that Dave and I did a good job, although things ran long.

We were very ambitious with all the subjects that we wanted to cover, and we over estimated how fast things would go.

Starting off with some general information about Macs and reasons to buy one, we then started going through the operating system. System Preferences alone took nearly an hour to go through every section. Finder was another forty minutes.

I'm not exactly sure what we will do for the next one, but I'm fairly certain that we will aim to cover less material so that we aren't quite so rushed and have time to answer more specific questions. Maybe we'll spread it over two days.

My fear of public speaking took a serious beating - I was nervous as we started, but once I introduced myself, and started speaking, I felt much better. I am actually *looking forward* to doing the next course to that I can further pummel this silly fear out of my psyche.

Thank you to those of you who took the time to attend the course, thank you for your kind words afterwards, and thanks to Dave for agreeing it was a good idea to pull this off.
