Sojourn rocks the house!

I picked Tracey up as she was finishing teaching her belly dance class and headed over to the LiVE LOUNGE (Formerly the Thirsty Scholar).
We walked in and we recognized a slew of folk there who are friends of the band – and whom we think are pretty fun folk. We found a spot right by the stage.
I love music – you all know this. Sojourn (MySpace) did really well – and I think that they certainly have what it takes to “make it”. The song “Hopeless Dreaming” is probably the most popular, and the most likely to get serious airplay.
As usual, I brought my trusty Canon Digital Rebel and ran off about 230 shots, of which I tossed around 50 right off the bat. I’m not a very aggressive photographer – not at all like my auntie – I know this is something I’m working on. I do *try*. I think I’ll look at a faster lens for the camera soon. However, I did get some decent shots. The ones where I used half-flash have richer colour, but the trade off was fuzz (longer exposures than I’d like). Maybe I’ll get a faster lens in the future.
Or, (more likely) I’ll just bring the GL2 and shoot video. Sojourn’s next performance is on our wedding anniversary, but we may go for the fun of it – they do put on a great show.
Mike, Bruce, Max, Joey and Matt, thanks for the excellent show!
